Addicts, tis the season to really start to think……..

Well it is December and the season is rolling in, people are shopping and some are even starting to deck the halls. One thing for sure being an addict most of the times while still being control by the disease, will seem to rob you what life truly wishes to reward you. And that is, truth, love, families and friends.

The holidays also have this ugly side to it if we look while most are celebrating, allot of addicts are suffering with multiple issues, such as depression and guilt for being or at least who they think who they are. I personally believe that all addicts do have the ability to break the cycle of addiction with their own personal efforts and approach.

What greater gift can an addict have for Christmas then breaking the chains of addiction! When I was set free it was greater than any high that I have been on in my life! Not only was it a gift for me but also for my, mother, father and all the other family members along with my friends. You see, Christmas is really not about who can buy and give gifts, don’t even go there, it’s about sharing quality time with your love ones. For the Creator has only allowed all of us here for so much time according to His plan!

Please if you are an addict and reading this, it is not meant at all for guilt, Lord knows I know you are already going through enough of that. And if you are a family member or friend remember, they need your love and encouragement, not judgement for this will only cause more pain for everyone! Their battle is their’s and remember it is for the rest of their life, no short cut for this and there really is not in love either.

So as founder of Angel Face Foundation I truly prayer and wish everyone would just take a break and enjoy each other. This I have found to be the greatest gift that God has given me, fellowship and companionship! For all who don’t choose this well, I pray for your peace and your journey in life 🙂

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And God of love and peace will be with you.

We are here to share our experience with drug addiction how it affects both the addict and their families along with their friends. Bringing awareness about the war on drugs an how it has failed in many ways. You are welcome to comment even if you might disagree with the post, we here are a free speech zone. We will post it as long it's constructive towards solutions rather then being to harsh and judgmental causing it to be part of the problem.
