A Fresh Start

Will last night we all here in the States had to set our clocks forward one hour before we went to bed. I am sure you have heard the old saying; “Spring Forward “! Well it is day light savings time created by the government, from what I remember it has something to do with the farmers not sure if this is true.

But anyway it is a controversy about is it Spring today or not? Well according to further researching, the first day of Spring for the Northern Hemisphere is March 20th,  Now of corse in other parts of this world it is flipped so , if you live there you know what I am talking about it is probably heading into your Fall season now.

Well today I woke up and did take in a big breath of fresh air and thank God for another day that He has given me. You see I do now have more control over my mind then I did in my pass and today, I choose to be thankful of every thing that He has brought into my life, pass present and future!

In recovery you will find that mindset is everything. It will make or break you, so my advice to anyone out there make it the best, life is short make it sweet. When life throws lemons at you make lemonade out of it. This advice goes well with both addicts and others that are not.For the addict that is trying to go through recovery, negative attitude will bring on unnecessary stress bringing them into relapse!

As we start to close the door on old man winter, I hope we have learned from your pass? With Spring coming in, life is like a fresh new blossom blooming. Take advantage of your blessing that has been given to you. Yes it is alright to think about your pass and to remember what your journey was all about and who was and not there for you. Learn to spot out people who will love you even with your faults as an addict. This is my advice because they are few and far between.

Maybe there was someone who you feel you did wrong and they tried to help, and you took advantage of them and the situation? Well Spring is about a new start and atonement might just be the action you need to take so you can elevate yours self in your journey? Think about this, if they really love you,  I can tell you they would be just as happy to hear from you and knowing that you are on your way to recovery would be a blessing for them also. It is a way that you can give back without sacrificing anything, but gaining respect and love back that you might have lost.

Pick up the phone you just might be surprise, Peace towards your journey 🙂

We are here to share our experience with drug addiction how it affects both the addict and their families along with their friends. Bringing awareness about the war on drugs an how it has failed in many ways. You are welcome to comment even if you might disagree with the post, we here are a free speech zone. We will post it as long it's constructive towards solutions rather then being to harsh and judgmental causing it to be part of the problem.
