You have the power over addiction…..

Mind Power

I was just going to post the picture here because this is really all that needs to be mention here. The message I am trying to spread here goes with life in itself, let alone about addiction. Our minds are very powerful.

1 Jesus got into a boat and crossed back over to the town where he lived. Some people soon brought to him a crippled man lying on a mat. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the crippled man, “My friend, don’t worry! Your sins are forgiven.”

Some teachers of the Law of Moses said to themselves, “Jesus must think he is God!”

But Jesus knew what was in their minds, and he said, “Why are you thinking such evil things? Is it easier for me to tell this crippled man that his sins are forgiven or to tell him to get up and walk? But I will show you that the Son of Man has the right to forgive sins here on earth.” So Jesus said to the man, “Get up! Pick up your mat and go on home.” The man got up and went home. When the crowds saw this, they were afraid and praised God for giving such authority to people.

 Matthew 9: 1 – 8

What do you think Jesus was trying to teach here?

We are here to share our experience with drug addiction how it affects both the addict and their families along with their friends. Bringing awareness about the war on drugs an how it has failed in many ways. You are welcome to comment even if you might disagree with the post, we here are a free speech zone. We will post it as long it's constructive towards solutions rather then being to harsh and judgmental causing it to be part of the problem. 1. LScott says:

Clearly, on one level, he was teaching about forgiveness. It’s not okay to go against the commandments of God (as Jesus said “do not think that I have come to destroy the law but to fulfill the law..Matt 5:17), but when one fulfils the sentence of one’s crime, then he or she is granted freedom/forgiveness.

On another level, Jesus is teaching about faith in God. Because the people acknowledged that Jesus was an emissary of God and had faith in this reality, Jesus was pleased. To demonstate the next level of faith, he healed the man completely. He demonstated the ability of a fully realized human being (himself). When one truly acknowledges God and lives their life in accordance to God’s will, then one has the potential to heal just as Jesus did.

Listen to the voice that says you can. You have to meditate to maintain that state of mind. With faith and discipline, there are no limits.
