TO ALL TREATMENT PROGRAMS & SOBER LIVING HOUSES — YOU’RE INVITED “Show Your Clients Recovery Can Be Fun”

Rockers In Recovery — RIR — holds a flagship all-day festival once a year since 2011. It’s called the “Love Of Recovery” Rockers in Recovery Music Festival. This experience combines multiple RIR All-Star Bands that all come together. We invite musicians who are either in recovery or support recovery to help spread the message of hope through their band or solo act music. The most important message that RIR conveys to the crowds of thousands is that having fun is completely doable and possible when you combine treatment and education and having fun.

EDUCATIONAL – It’s dedicated to providing our community with addiction prevention and education information to help families, community outreach leaders and anyone who suffers with drug addiction and alcoholism get help.

“Recovery is a Process” and Rockers In Recovery has also amassed some epic speakers on the topic who will be speaking and answering questions at the event. This is to help our south Florida community know that there is hope and we do recover from addiction. It’s free to all seeking help and information.

Starting at 1PM — 10-Minute Speakers (In Between Bands):

Nicholas Colangelo, Ph.D., of Clearbrook Treatment Centers
Kenneth Blum, PhD, of Dominion Diagnostics
Richard D. Froilan-Davila, PhD, of Springfield College, Tampa Bay
LYLE R. FRIED, CAP, ICADC, CHC
The Addict’s Mom – Barbara Theodosiou
YPR – Matthew Cohen
Chooper’s Guide – Tim Cheney, BS
Holistic Addiction Info – John Giordano, CCJS, MAC, CAP
Addiction & Families – Trish Colangelo, M.A.
along with many more addiction educators onsite.

“I can say that Rockers In Recovery brings the private treatment sector, addiction education, addiction prevention, and the addiction advocacy non-profit sector together in a unique way, as no one else is doing anywhere in the United States. What makes RIR unique: The message is all around and through the universal language of music with some great rockers of our day. They combine it with educational speakers and advocacy groups. RIR brings it all together at their community addiction education meet and greets, and addiction awareness and prevention concerts/festivals.” — Tom Coderre, Senior White House Advisor to SAMHSA

THE EVENT IS ALSO A DRUG, ALCOHOL AND GAMBLING FREE EVENT.

Violators will be removed from the festival. Love Of Recovery Music Festival Is A Private Event – All Seeking Great Sober/Clean Music & Addiction Recovery Information Are Welcome To Attend; RIR and our security Do Reserve The Right To Refuse Entry To Anyone Deemed A Risk To Recovery or Security (and at Any time during the Event).

We are here to share our experience with drug addiction how it affects both the addict and their families along with their friends. Bringing awareness about the war on drugs an how it has failed in many ways. You are welcome to comment even if you might disagree with the post, we here are a free speech zone. We will post it as long it's constructive towards solutions rather then being to harsh and judgmental causing it to be part of the problem.
